Did You Know?

The MP4-12C was McLaren’s first series-production road car to be launched after the McLaren F1 and shares some styling cues with it. The name MP4 refers to “Marlboro Project Four”, marking the merger of Ron Dennis’s Project Four Racing with the McLaren Formula 1 team. The number 12 denotes an internal performance index, and the letter C stands for carbon, reflecting the car’s carbon-fibre construction.
