Zak Brown is the current CEO of McLaren Racing, but how did he get there? Zak was a tenacious teenager from Los Angeles. His most notable early TV appearance was on the US game show The Price is Right, where he won a collection of prizes. He sold these to fund his dream of a career in professional racing.
As a determined young driver, he discovered a natural talent for securing sponsorships. After realising his greatest strengths lay in the boardroom rather than behind the wheel, he turned to finding sponsors for others and founded Just Marketing International (JMI). This venture led him to immense success within the world of motorsport, eventually catching the eye of McLaren’s leadership—most notably Mansour Ojjeh—who helped bring him into the fold at Woking.
